Posting Grades in MiStar
MiStar will calculate your grades and display them, in real time all school year.
However, to translate your grades to "Marks" which will print on progress reports, report cards and transcripts, we have to go through a process of posting your grades.
Typically, you will post your grades eight times during a school year: four progress reports and at the end of each quarter

Posting Progress Reports
In addition to posting the students' grades in your class, progress reports are your opportunity to officially update parents on students' progress in your class. You may use the generic comments, as well as type your own, free response comments.

Posting Grades at the End of Marking Periods
The process of posting grades at the end of the marking period is the same as posting progress reports. At marking period time, you will also post a PMG (Personal Management Grade) for each student. Learn more about posting marking period grades here.
Posting Grades at the End of the Semester
In addition to posting the 2nd and 4th marking period grades as you usually would, at the end of the semester, you will also record and post exam grades. You will NOT, however, post a calculated grade for the semester. Since the semester grade calculation is based on the letter grade point values, and not the student's percentage, this is done in the office. Don't worry, I have everything that you need to know about the end of semester grade posting here.
